Abandoned Mine Drainage Education Coalition (AMDEC)
The Abandoned Mine Drainage Education Coalition (AMDEC) is comprised of a number of conservation minded organizations in Pennsylvania whose goal is to create a comprehensive, standards based curriculum devoted to Pennsylvania's largest water pollution problem, Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD). This coalition is collectively working to create a variety of professional lesson plans, and has been aided by grant funding provided through PA's Department of Environmental Protection Growing Greener program.
